It started with eating a banana and looking at it’s shape while being frustrated about waste being the consumer’s responsibility.
Then, Ren was sketching a loose outline on paper, cutting it out of cardboard, gum taping the edges, and finally gessoing. Some Ren painted in opaque colors; others, were given to Sam to do their detail mark making on them.when the waste is our job to figure out what to do with; not the companies that generate it or excessively pack it, it’s an artist’s job to bring it to the public eye. To bring the conversation up and keep bringing it up. To make people feel things about their lives, experiences, and what impact they leave on the world.
